Plot Overview

Murim Login is an isekai manhwa that revolves around the theme of systems. This story bears similarities to other manhwa featuring gates or portals and a hunter association tasked with raiding these gates. Like many protagonists in such stories, the main character (MC) starts as a low-rank hunter in need of money. During one of his raids, he finds a game pod, thinking it would fetch a good price. He brings it back to the place he shares with his friend to appraise its value, only to discover that the company which manufactured it has ceased operations, rendering it a worthless old product.

Ignoring these warnings, he falls asleep and wakes up in another world – the murim world – inside another person’s body, specifically someone who was sleeping in a brothel. The story then unfolds as he navigates this new world and tries to find a way to log out.

Character Development

Murim Login shares some similarities with Solo Leveling but also has its unique elements. The character development is commendable, particularly for the MC, who grows significantly as the story progresses. One notable aspect is that the narrative focuses primarily on the MC, with less development for other characters. Despite this, the story remains engaging, and the older characters, portrayed as strong and badass, add depth and excitement.

Side Characters

Although the development of side characters is limited, a few do evolve alongside the MC. The overall plot centers on the MC’s desire to become stronger to protect others and earn money. Set in the murim world, past events catch up with the MC, who trains under formidable old masters and learns rapidly with the help of the system. The plot progresses at a good pace, keeping readers hooked.

Art Style

Regarding the art, it is well-executed. However, the MC’s design in the real world is not particularly impressive, perhaps because the story incorporates comedic elements that a serious appearance might undermine. Nonetheless, the action sequences are well-drawn, effectively conveying the strength of the characters' moves. The MC’s shamelessness in various situations is also humorously depicted.

Overall Impression

Overall, the story is very engaging and can be compared to Solo Leveling in some aspects, though not entirely. It also parallels World's Best Engineer in terms of comedy, offering a blend of action and humor. With good pacing and quality art, Murim Login is a solid recommendation for fans of system-themed manhwa.
